How to yoni steam.
Yoni steaming is an ancient practice of bathing the womb in warm, herb-infused steam. Below is your full ceremonial walkthrough — watch the video and follow the steps.
- 01
Prepare your space
Choose a private, warm room. Light a candle, dim the lights, and set an intention. Have a robe or large towel ready to drape from waist to ankles.
- 02
Brew the herbs
Bring 4–6 cups of filtered water to a boil. Add one handful of the Yoni Steam blend, cover, and let simmer for 5 minutes. Remove from heat and steep covered for another 5 minutes.
- 03
Test the temperature
Carefully transfer the pot to your steam seat (or a sturdy heat-safe bowl in the toilet bowl). Hold your hand 8–10 inches above the steam — it should feel warm and inviting, never hot or stinging.
- 04
Settle in & steam
Disrobe from the waist down, drape yourself, and sit comfortably over the steam for 20–30 minutes. Breathe slow. Sip warm tea. Pray, journal, or simply rest.
- 05
Aftercare
Wrap yourself warm and lie down for at least 30 minutes — ideally an hour. Drink water. Avoid cold air, cold drinks, and strenuous activity for the rest of the day.
- •Do not steam during pregnancy or while menstruating.
- •Do not steam if you have an IUD, open sores, or an active infection.
- •Always test steam temperature first to avoid burns.
- •Listen to your body — discontinue if you feel dizzy or uncomfortable.
